Connecticut!

One of my hens, who is about two years old now, has been laying eggs in her sleep while on the roost. All nesting boxes are fully accessible and there are five nesting boxes for five hens. Im not sure whats going on but its really sad to find, what could have otherwise been a perfect egg, smashed to bits every morning.

Did you start using artificial light? Depending on when the light goes on and off. I heard it can change the time they lay

Help!
My Serama rooster has started foaming at the mouth!
He was fine yesterday and today when i went to check on him he had lots of foam in his mouth and his beak was open! he does wear a crow collar.but he has had it for over three months and there hasn't been any problems.
Its been very rainy and they have been free ranging. Also the other hens seem fine. He's acting normally but i haven't seen him eat or drink. thank you

i have a rooster who i have suspected to have mareks. it came out of no where when he was about a month old now he's six months old. noon of my other chickens have showed signs of mareks. could it really be a mareks or is it a birth defect?

Why do you suspect he has Marek's? It's my understanding that Marek's usually comes on later than 4 weeks (you said a month). If no other birds have gotten ill - especially pullets as I had heard they usually succumb more quickly than cockerels - it is probably not Marek's.
