I hope SO!! Theyre 18 weeks and no eggs yet but Im sure once they start...they,re off to the races...And I also Love cats I have a F2 Bengal Named Sheba, Shes the Boss

 

Im guessing you get your first egg at 19.5 weeks. It will be leghorn. If you ever want another cat, with impaired motor skills, you just let me know..... Bengals are gorgeous. Mine are 100% mutt. Straight out of the shelter and failed fosters.

I'll def keep you posted , I cant wait, I think its a toss up between one of my lehgorns and a red , the red squatting, but the leghorns face is getting more red...lol...its like im waiting for them to give birth....well i guess in a way they are lol lol I just hope I dont have to assist In any breached ones lol been there done that, don't want to deal with eggbinding again!! I love mutt kitties my fav.one was a tuxedo that showed up at my house (mysteriously) one day I also used to have a badhabit of taking in stray cats,,,,,word must have gotten out.

Ill keep you updated.....according to the feed store they were around 17 weeks 2 weeks ago today but....im guessing whoever they got em from prob. wouldn't of fed them like I would of...I got them from benedicts in monroe reallyy nice people and place, they have another order coming in late april, which I kind of wanted a couple more pullets but im hesitant about adding new members I hate all that first intro B.s. lol too much stress, If I could of grabbed acouple now I would but In a month I thknk it might be too risky.....My last red stars I had a few years ago I got as chicks in April and layed at 16 weeks....but they were more developed looking at 16 weeks probally because I fed them like pigs!! lol but what ever, atleast I saved up 12 egg cartens between making easter hampies etc lol all ready and rearin to go here

Yes the new introductions are brutal. I agree. Ok well 17.5 weeks but we are heading into longer days so hopefully that will move things along. I have so many eggs right now it's crazy. I just gave 3 dozen to the food share and have about 3 dozen white ones for Easter decorating. 2 dozen from yesterday and today and another dozen to give to my neighbors (the nice ones). Aaa ah! I accept egg carton donations from friends and get the flats from the cafe at work.

Hi lolipop and caco3 glad to know some other people are into chickens around here,growing up in new britain then moving here over 10years ago my friends think I'm nuts,but I don't care I think there pretty cool birds and kinda funny sometimes.Caco3 how old is your black orp roo.
