Connecticut!

None of my flocks seemed to like the snow under their feet this morning. They all went back to their coops after their initial brief outing. They even left the cut-up tomatoes alone! They are usually all over it. Lol

Yup mine do the same thing they don't mind the cold but want no part of wind they were in most of the day,my Cochin and brahmas don't seem to mind it as much though probably because of more feather coverage.

just chased away a couple of foxes! rarely see them, and never in broad day light.

Did a perimeter check and walked the dog around the property, but what else can I do?

Are they in a run or free range, also be careful with the foxes or any wild animal because it's not normal for them to be out during the day, could be rabbid.

they are in a run generally. They only free range about an hour a day these days (spring and summer more) , but always supervised. The foxes I saw looked like a mom and baby. I was thinking that the need to feed baby might drive her out to get food. We're right in town, but a wetland/ creek system does come up to our property and once in a while we see a fox or coyote or something- but not often.

Not too much else you can do new chick sounds like your doing what you can just keep your eye out and as long as your coop is secured pop doors closed etc.I wouldn't worry too much.
