Connecticut!

Hold at 60 degree angle and massage until throws up !!! Keep massaging until empty and offering syringed water until it clears up!!! Hope this helps!!!

At some point this morning between 7 am and noon, my girl passed. I had gotten her to eat some chick food, some yogurt and some applesauce. She was drinking on her own and I had gotten some probiotics into her as well.
I am more disappointed in myself than sad at this point. But I am happy that she got some extra love and affection in her last few days.

so sorry.

I am selling (or possibly giving away to the right home) my beloved flock.  See the post here:

Thanks everyone!

Linda

Thanks to those who showed interest. I just couldn't do it. Keeping my flock for now. Various reasons why I felt I needed to cease keeping chickens (zoning, small property, possible need to sell the home, the run is 20 feet from the edge of my neighbors pool, chatty, noisy hens). I'll persevere though for now.

Hey all you Connecticut chicken people!-
Glad to be here. I am from the Shoreline, Old Saybrook area. I have had chickens for a long time and am glad to meet like minded animal people on this forum. I am very glad Tractor Supply has finally opened. I had a talk with the manager and he is very willing to talk to customers and is open to having a tailgate swap, he just needs notice to plan.
I have made a facebook page if any locals want to join, its called Friends of Old Saybrook Tractor Supply and if I can do a link...
https://www.facebook.com/groups/FriendsofOSTractorSupply/
(Hope this works)
All are welcome to join the page. I hope to be able to put dates of their special adoption days, tailgate swaps, pictures of chicks and anything else that is news!
So glad it is in town. I do not work for them, just a local who thinks we need to know whats going on and when. People can post what kind of chicks are in stock on any given day...
So thanks for 'listening'
Karen

Hi all... been a long time since i visited here... have been very busy, aren't we all....

I am doing a shout out to see if anyone is interested in a gorgeous Ameraucana rooster i hatched out late last summer... he is everything i have come to associate with the breed... friendly, out going... hard to keep contained. I have lost the two hens I was planning to breed him because they kept flying out of my electric wire perimeter and of course we all know what happens to chickens that go a wandering. I am hoping to move over the next year to a bigger property where I can set up my chicken pens to be more secure... right now the focus is to hold on to my golden cuckoo marans stock which are much easier to keep until I can get this place sold and set up some where else...soooooo
what i am hoping to find is someone interested in taking this guy for breeding purposes... he is a purebred and really, really gorgeous. We have a lot of garden variety easter eggers here in CT so I had though it would be interesting to focus a bit on having true Ameraucana. They are absolutely delightful birds to keep in terms of friendliness but boy when the want to get out they will find a way!

I would take $25 for him or some kind of trade... message me please with questions etc
