The Enfield TSC has them too. I came home with 6.
You're going to need a third coop!
LOL, I KNOW!! But...I have a perfectly rational excuse for my chicken math-ness yesterday:
This little guy was the sole hatchee in a bator of otherwise infertile eggs. When I saw the chicks in TSC, I figured I'd buy just ONE as a friend for him (although I only went in there for shavings. Really.)
This is what I came out with, however. State law prohibits sales of fuzzy butts in lots less than six. Oh well. I took the hit for the team. Who could resist?
This was Simon's reaction when I told him he was a Brinsea-assisted daddy:
Are you sure you don't want him, Beth?
I think this should suffice for a little while anyway. It's 8x8 and already houses my BCM chicks and my Hamburgs. By springtime, it'll be full!

AAAH! I wish I had known! I have 8-10 chicks that I planned on rehoming! So if anyone else is wanting chicks, I have 7 mixed breed (all heavy breeds) and 3 light sussex. I hatched these from eggs I received from Flying A Farm. The crosses could be white rock, marans, penedesenca etc.
Hey, Trust me he is gorgeous!! I would love him but, unless I can convince the DH to build a nice run and flight pen It's just not going to work. Those birds just LOVE LOVE LOVE to fly over my 6 ft poultry grazing pasture fence! If they weren't such great flyers I'd take him in a heartbeat!! I can try and work ont he DH again this week and show him the picture again but, I just know with his work starting up with the weather I'm going to get turned down
Sorry

Okay BYC CT'rs We need to get a Chickenstock in our state!!
If anyone is interested or knows of a place where we can do one will you send out a message?
? I would love to help but, unfortunately I can not have one on my property. I also tried to look into renting a local place and the town turned me down
Just think of how much fun it would be for all of us to get together and sell, trade, and buy chickens, game birds, etc...
