Can anyone recommend a good (ie clean, humane & inexpensive) butcher in the south eastern part of CT? Somewhere that charges by the bird would be great as I've only got 1 and I dont have it in me to take care of him myself.

Sorry the only one I know is in West Haven, CT.

I would try looking at a local hunting store near you. Usually when you walk into a place like that there is a bulletin or cork board where people post up butchers.

Boston Poultry Show November 6th, 2011. Who on the CT forum is going??? If we get a head count we can try to set up spot for all us Chicken CT peeps to hang out together for the day.
