So yesterday I had the pleasure of driving through Orange CT ... and on the side of Route 34 eating a squirrel carcass was a Vulture!

Red featherless head, red neck, red legs = pulled over and watched because I've never seen one before, it was only a few feet away.

Wish I had my camera.

I put them to bed with a hot water bottle. It's supposed to be in the single digits. I know they are fine, but I still worry.

I got some beautiful orpie chicks from jimmythechicken last year. My blue girl is enormous! All started laying in the middle of this winter...

HI, No I haven't. I'm waiting for winter to finally hit and be over with. I'm probably looking at April to begin.
