youd be better getting all males then, as they will nest then home better and not have to be continually given hgher essentials to keep producing eggs, though they may bring home female from other places, but you can use dummy eggs for chickens, just buy white clay or something you can mold into small egg shape them let harden and give to them to set on, though they will toss the dummy egg maybe as a good smart homer will when learn theyre not fertile (mine did that constantly and learned to just push to corner of nest box and lay more so i wouldnt take away). maybe you should just get rollers or some other kind. though found homers to be easiest to keep. but need the most room (as need supposedly about half a dozen to flock well watching for preds for each other, but ive found four worked fine for that too, they just look better and fly better in flocks of half to a dozen).
