Atero rose cautiously. His tail flicked to the side. "What?"

Reynardia stuck out a paw like she was reaching for a weapon before realizing she was a fox. She narrowed her eyes at the phoenix, "How do you know that?" she asked.

"Mistress Mel wants to see you... S-she's making plans for an attack..."

"So soon," Atero muttered, still angry that he had been disturbed. He cantered out, making sure to kick the little gyphon on the way.

Jet yelped, rolling out of the way. She cowered away from him.

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

Phokas stood with the other council members, eyes shifting side to side, as well as occasionally to the audience. His expression remained stern.

Atero suppressed a sneer and went to Mel's cave. At least he had someone to take his anger out on now.

Mel didn't even notice Atero as he walked in. There was a stone table in front of her, and a map of Consenia made out in some sand on it. She was very absorbed in what she was doing.

 

[Zinnia-Hen]

After moments of prolonged silence, he finally spoke up. "...I have been betrayed," the older Pegasus said, his voice quite haggard and worn. "By my own daughter. This is news for myself, most likely for most of you, as I thought I had her trust and loyalty... I should have known... Seraphina... Oh god..." He hung his head down, snorting slightly in shame. "The one who I had proclaimed my most faithful foal."

Atero bowed, noticing his back was getting stiff, "Hello mistress. Is it true you are planning an attack so early"
