ATTENTION WICHITA-AREA PEEPS!! As FondofChicks posted, he and I and "Naughty" met yesterday to launch another Kansas meeting group.

WE ARE MEETING AGAIN FRIDAY -- BLACK FRIDAY, NOV. 26 -- AT 1:00 PM AT THE McDONALD'S AT W. KELLOGG & DUGAN (near the airport turnoff).

We figure by one o'clock, the shoppers will be shopped-out and ready for a break. We'll be in the back near the play-place, so kids are welcome! I'll wear my burgundy BYC University Tshirt!

Let's not let those Lawrence-area peeps outdo us!! They stole Naughty's idea for a meeting, and then beat us to the punch by having their meeting first!!

(Just kidding, Larry-ites! I visit my brother in Lawrence from time-to-time, and would love to join y'all one of these Thursdays.)

I am so happy for you guys. (down south) Its a wonderful thing to meet and share your special projects, concerns, and funny stories. We are up here in Larry ville are hitting around ideas to encourage support and promote the back yard flock. My support is for the food aspect ,"victory flock" some of the others are in support of either pet or preservation of the Haritage flock. All interists are very viable and in the end it seems to be our common ground. Unlike the name thing!

On another note I am all about helping others. Just in the interist of knowledge; how many of you are giving your eggs to others to help them make ends meet?

Thanks for the Info Kathy. I sell a few eggs if the people have a job but it seems more and more people dont have a job or money. This summer I was giving eggs to a lady who was living in her car. And there is so many more that dont have a job or money. Maybe I just know a lot of needy people.
I think everyone should have a "Victory Flock"

Hi all,

I haven't been here much but am going to try to get to the meeting on Friday. I wish our girls were laying so I could share some eggs. Our plan is to sell some to put the money towards more feed but if I knew someone in need I would have a hard time not helping were I could. Our family is going through household items right now to donate to 'His Helping Hands' a great non-profit group.
I'll be looking forward to the chicken suit Friday. LOL

I went pricing eggs at wallyworld and dillons - found the eggs that are as big and beautiful are wayyyyyyyyyy expensive - (over $2-3 a dozen) - so I figure - I get a dozen a week - - and it takes em 2 months to go thru a bag of feed right now - I"m breaking even..
