Man I am so gosh darn mad. I bought two of the light buld fount heaters

It said nothing about not being able to use the plastic founts. I came home from Vic & La Donna Lickteigs went to make sure my birds had water and I found this.

Have you seen the forecast??? It's going feel like swimsuit weather (almost)! It might be more of mud wrestling as all this snow melts!

Looking at the 7-day forecast its supposed to get up to 50 mid next week. -9 here this morning when I walked the kiddo to school. Couldn't get the coop door to close all the way last night - it was frozen. Had to leave it about 2" open and when I saw the thermometer this morning had serious concerns about how they fared overnight. Took a warm mash out to them and they all came bouncing out to grab a bite to eat. I am constantly amazed by how hardy those girls (and a couple of guys) are!

Well i was gonna use a old five gallon bucket lid to patch it with.
Where is your watering device at?

Yes for some odd reason I bought a new one a week ago dint know why now I do.

I homeschool, but my 4 year old goes to preschool as a peer model. Thanks all for the welcomes and advice.

It looks like a lot of us are in the same genral area .. I have a Linwood address but kids go to Eudora shcool

In the winter I keep my waterer's in the barn.
