Consolidated Kansas

I get my feed from Tarwaters in Topeka. I think my chicken feed is Blair, I know my rabbit feed is.

I get mine at Midland Junction in Lawrence.
As for the bands Strombergs chicks and game birds is cheapest.

Ok, thanks for sharing. I got mine from Premier farm and home in south Topeka for 11.99. I was under the impression that midland junction sold Nutrena. Whats Tarwaters and Midland charge if you don't mind telling? I'm trying the breeder and the layer ration.
If I have to order leg bands I'll just get'em from Smith poultry in Bucyrus. I prefer spending my money in KS whenever I can.

Man what luck i am havein today.
First i almost get a $200 ticket for picking up a peice of drift wood off the lake shore because I didnt have a drift wood colletion permit. The guy was cool though.
Then I get home an I check in on the ducks well my ring teal hen cant walk. I think she has a broken leg or dislocated hip so now I have a Vet appointment in the morning in Perry. The Vet said when i called him that he would xray her for free and go from there. Fingers crossed its fix able.

Calling out for lil' ducky prayers

I will update ya'll on her after the Vet visit.

Smith's are a Godsend at the shows and sales and they have good prices. If I can hold out, I do. If I really need something though and won't be seeing them for awhile, it comes down to total costs w/ shipping. Sometimes the shipping will run me more than the cost of the item.

for your duck. Wow, I didn't know you needed a permit to pick up drift wood.

Wow. In my 20's, up in North Idaho, my friend and I collected all we wanted, no permits or anything. Guess things have changed.
Incidentally, she and her dbf made some really cool driftwood benches back then. So wish I could have brought one home with me. All I managed to get on the plane were some pretty pieces of Lake Pendorielle driftwood.
