Hmm Liz, that's a nice big brooder you've got there. After all that work, I guess you'll just have to get lots more chicks. Why it would be a cryin' shame not to.

You know, I've been wondering, what's the big deal with a chicken or two in the house? Nobody bats an eye at people keeping parrots and such in their home. Heck, they're put on prominent display. What about hampsters? Why is it okay to keep a cage of rodents in the house, but strange to keep certain birds?

It was all warm and sunny when we left and freezing cold and raining when we returned. I was really hoping this would be one of those times the meteorologists were wrong.

This weather BITES it's cold, wet, and slippery.

Haha on getting more chicks, dh say NOPE!! It actually only took him 1/2 hr to make it. The wood on the sides is gonna be used to make their nesting boxes, so it'll come down. But, with this weird weather not for a while!

It's all my DS has talked about since we left. How neat the trip was, how much he liked them, how amazing their birds are, when can we see them again...........? I had to promise my DD she could go with me to get the B/B/S Am chicks when they're ready. (Different breeder, shorter trip)



Ugh, I'm so glad we didn't decide to wait until today. We'd never have made it even out of town I don't think.

Yes, I had looked at the website earlier but didn't see a location listed. I checked BYC user profile just now but no location listed there either.....I was just wondering what town he/she is in....
