Oh man is it every COLD out there! It's been raining ALL DAY today (rare for this area) and now it's turning to snow. It's been in the 30's all day long and is windy. What a rather unpleasant day weather-wise. I've been going out every couple hours to check on my animals. It sure feels like winter today! BRRR!

Anyone else getting snow today?

Wow what part of Kansas is getting snow? I live in Emporia and no snow, just really cold.

I have no idea. I live in Cherokee County and there is no snow. I do know that I'm going to be hooking up heat lamps tonight though. Too cold for my little ones.

no snow here in KC just cold low of 42 but its up to 55 for the high and finally a break in the rain though it will start again tonight through the weekend we are def getting a fall

I was wondering if this is normal. I bought home my girl yesterday and she hasn't left the coop, just sits on her nest. I'm hoping she is just adjusting. I put some mealworms in hoping this might get her up and interested.

I think that is normal. When a get I new hen, she usually just sits in the nesting box for a little while. I think she is just trying to get used to the fact that this is her new home
