Renee, I'm so sorry for your loss, and all you're going through. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

You're in my thoughts Renee......losing a loved one is never easy. I lost my mom on July 1 after an 18 year fight against 5 types of cancer among other things. We just have to remember that they're healed now and can be at peace.

Ivy, that is an amazing picture!! WOW! I think that one was God at work. That photo was "photo shopped" in such an amazing way. I have gone back to look at it several times. It is just incredible.

Renee, awww, I'm so very sorry about your grandpa. Certainly you are not whining. Dealing with a family death is extremely stressful and depressing. You need to take your time to grieve. Again, I'm so sorry.

My thoughts will be with you. Sometimes I miss my own parents so badly I ache (I lost them 15 years ago, my Mother to Alzheimer's). Hang in there -- you don't have to be strong for others, it is OK to grieve and fall apart a bit. Then after you get your Grandmother moved, you can finish the grieving (if it is ever really finished).

I'm with you on the cooler weather. I've delayed moving the new girls into the older girls' coop until the weather breaks, but I have to get it done. I'm leaving for a week on the 12th and I need to be comfortable with leaving the whole flock with my DH.

Renee, so sorry for your loss. Although we expect grandparents to precede us, it can still hurt so much to lose them. My g-ma died at age of 99 three years ago and I hurt for a long time knowing I would never again get to sit and chat with her about her childhood, and ask questions that only she would be able to answer.

Chooks, Your post made me cry. I so feel for you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do at all for you. Be glad to be an ear if you just need to let it out. God bless you. Remember, your loved ones never really leave you. Your grandpa is in a place now where he can watch over you again.
