Consolidated Kansas

Oh, that is quite a ways south of us. Hiawatha is almost as far northeast as you can get without getting into another state.

I looked at you BYC page. You have a belgian turvuren. I have a friend that has one. He is a bow hunter and got him specifically for tracking wounded deer. I got a german wirehaired dachshund for the same purpose. I'm a dog lover, too, and most of my dogs have been rescues (with the exception of the dachshund.)

I also have a couple haflingers. I love to ride, but haven't done as much as I would like lately.

I suspect it will. Still have her segragated from the other girls. There has been a couple of staredowns between her and one of my other hens. I plan to keep them apart most of the evening until it starts getting dark. I hear after they sleep together they think they have always known each other.

You really should quarentine, not just seperate them for a minimum of 30 days to reduce the risk of introducing disease into your birds.

My new digs for the girls arrived yesterday. It's 6x8, and will need many changes to be a comfortable place for them. However, we are, at this time, working on windows and a pop-door. Tomorrow I learn to use the table saw. Oh goodie.

Hey, Sharol- Your picture of the old dugout reminds me of the picture I saw of the first "home" in Saline county. Do you know where this picture was taken? Do you know the history or anything about the photo?

That kind of stuff fascinates me.
