Consolidated Kansas

I would really have preferred rain sometime other than the weekend. I have so much that needs done out there and it makes it to muddy to get much done. Ours wasn't a soaking rain. It was just a darn mud making drizzle.
Taking a short break. I got done feeding but haven't gathered eggs yet. I have to do some cooking and then I'm going to work on my incubator. I need space so bad.

Danz,
It was so wonderful to meet you thank you for making time for me and my friend Heather we had a blast and can't wait for her to move so we come shopping for her flock. Everyone is doing great and just chillin in my front room while we eat our late lunch

It's raining here again today, we sure need the rain but I hate it that it has to do it for more than a day at a time. We have had some rain the last 3 days. Now I need some time without rain to try to put my raised garden together, hopefully tomorrow I can start on it. I really need help for part of it, that's the hard part finding a time when my DH is here & can help me.

I candled two of the breeds of shipped eggs I got & about half of the Rhodebars are developing & it looked like maybe 10 of 12 of the BLRW, but we'll see what really hatches. I was thrilled to at least have that many developing for shipped eggs, it's a real crap shoot on those. It's the only way I get the breeds I want though a lot of times. I got Welsummer eggs too but it's too soon to check those for development.

I've been outside for the last hour-ish trying to take better pictures of my new chicks for ID-ing purposes. Can anyone help on any of these? Color and/or breed would be great as I'm a total newbie on this!

I've got four of these. They seem to be pretty flighty.

Cochin? If so, what color?

Another cochin? Maybe a blue? Sorry for the blurriness

Cochin? What color variety?

Blue? Splash? What breed?

If I understood correctly, this could be Barred rock or Dominique. Is that correct? I've got probably 2 or 3 of these with clean legs and one similar looking one with feathered legs. See above for a pic of the one with feathered legs.

Neat yellow/rusty coloration on this one. Only have one of these.

Any idea on any of these chipmunk-ish ones?

YOu can better see the differences in some of the chipmunk like ones in this picture.

I really enjoyed meeting you as well and the visit. I am glad the birds are settling in and doing well. I think you got an awesome selection for pattern and color variety.
Hello everyone! I have three pips on the greenies that got toasted (today is day 20) can't wait!
Congrats!
That's great!

I think they are silver laced Wyandotte.

Partridge Cochin.

Yes it looks like a splash cochin

Easter egger I think.

I'd say barred rock and probably female. I can't say clear barring on the wing feathers which should be showing now. Maybe it's just not showing in the picture.

The top one appears to be a Welsumer if the coloring is right on the picture. Second one is a speckled sussex. Both appear to be female. If the two on the bottom appear to be Phoenix. I think I see one female and can't tell on the other one. If I'm correct on that they will grow a little slower and be smaller than the others eventually.
Busy day today and no time to be online. I'll try to catch up in the morning.

Danz,
I have no doubt of that you were so wonderful letting me steal these babies away and I don't know how I will ever repay you for them. My whole family is in love with them and can't wait for their quarantine to be over so we can interduce them to our current flock. Thank you again for everything!!!
