Well gotta few things going on here just thought I'd post a few pic's . Yesterday Don (1idwillie), and I made a few feeders. So far my birds seem to like them, but I love them. No rain gets in nor any food out

The other thing We had going was I asked Don to help me out with a better incubator, and he did a fantastic job ,but the hot water heater T-stat wasn't working at my house . So being that my fourteen year old son decided to melt a six inch by four inch hole in my Styrofoam bator I chose to use the T-stat from it as well as the heating element, an this ting now is working like a champ. Thanks Don
All temp's are at proper levels.

I like your turner! Is it just the PVC frame with cartons wired to it, or is there a supporting-something under the egg carton as well? I.e. have you tried it with eggs in it to make sure it can support the weight? I have been turning my eggs by tilting the incubator back and forth, and I like that method of turning because I only have to open the 'bator once every three days to add water. However I also have to be careful when filling the water tray that I don't put so much in that it spills when I tip it, so I've pondered making a turner and haven't quite known how to do it. I like this idea a lot as it seems simple and doable.

Yes Pvc frame work, and bailing wire under the cartons too support the eggs. No I have not placed any eggs in the trays just yet, but I have pushed pretty hard on both tray's. Don did his home work on this bator.

Just wondering which/if any of you were at the sale at Overbrook Saturday. I went along with a friend who was looking for chickens and ducks. She bought a beautiful roo with 2 hens, four young red chickens and a pair of white ducks. I wondered about all the vendors, whether they might be ones from this group. It was fun but we were there and gone pretty quickly, so I'm sure I missed something. Are the sales in Gardner only spring and fall? I'll be looking for mention here of other sales within reach for me. I'm not looking for anything, but sure enjoy looking.

Have a great week everyone!!

Mikek, where are you in Kansas. I have a friend wanting some magpies badly, and we have played heck finding any. If she didnt want them, I know I would.

I have a friend that lives in Belleville and travels to KC regularly, but might be hard to hook up.
