I was afraid that Orsheln only had them in the spring, so I'm wrong? Thanks for the help! I'm going over there today to price corrugated roofing and other misc supplies. I'll be sure to berate them with questions while I'm there.

Hola! I'm in town and have some juveniles available. 4-14 weeks, depending on breed.

Email me and we can chat. Do you have your set up all ready? These are outside and happy. I'll have more new chicks in 2 weeks and they'll need to brood inside for a bit.

Email sent! Hope to hear from you soon. It's nice to meet another Lawrence person.

Uh, YEAH! I've been talking gibberish all morning because I'm so tired and HOT. I'm really slow and I keep hitting my feet on things, I guess because maybe I'm dragging them. I have a couple of new bruises from yesterday, too from stupid stuff I did. I'm only on my second board, too of painting. I probably could have done more, but I can't lift these things. I give up for now until my DH gets home so I can lift the last one.

Happy Anniversary!

Two of my kids had outdoor weddings in July too. One was here in Kansas on a HOT day and the other was in Colorado.....much more pleasant!

Congratulations. Hope you get to do something fun. This weather will break eventually. They keep teasing us with possible lower temps, but I'll believe it when I see it. My chiropractor (who is from Austin, TX) said that he read that this years' July average is higher than the previous record set in 1980. I remember that one too. Hang in there, my brain is mush too.

Do you have an evening planned to go out to dinner or something? I love eating at FreeState and there is that really great Italian resturant on the other side of town (near the hotels) that is really good. I forget the name of that place, but I HAVE to go there every time we're in town to see my brother! Have fun!

OH! and BTW, I'm blaming this one on the heat... but I leaned over my paint tray and dipped my entire front bangs and side layers in the porch paint! Then it proceeded to dry instantly in this heat. UGH. I look like a crazy mad woman at this point.

Happy anniversary! Hope you find somewhere with really good air conditioning to celebrate it.

the heat is killing me, and my chickers are all so ragged looking... I have called everywhere in town for misters but to no avail, I may order some onling.... BUT, on a good note, I have a bumper crop of eggs today... 5 really small ones, so some of the girls have come of age!!! aahhhhh Calgon take me away!!!

I finally talked my husband into letting me order the babies! Should arrive October 3 and I got 6 standard White Crested Black Polish, 2 Barred Rocks, and 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte! Can't wait! Now I really have some incentive to keep building!
