Thanks.. although at the time words did escape me too- but they weren't for repeating! ha!

ETA- oh and my husband came home a bit ago jut looked at me odd and never said a word! I asked him if I could buy the chicks- and he caved and said fine. hehe I think he sensed I had had a hard day.

LOL! Sometimes saying nothing means more than any words can say.

With a lot of the hairdos I've seen lately you could probably get by saying, "Do you like my new 'frost job?'"

LOL- I KNOW, right?! haha!! It is a lot funnier now- than when it happened. I wonder how many washes tonight it will take to get my new frost job out of there?

ChickiKat- Thank you!! I am sooooo excited about my Polish!! They are really all I wanted... I actually talked myself into the other two breeds thinking brown eggs might be fun! They are supposed to be Standard Polish, so crossing my fingers they turn out to look like the birds my dad had when I was a kid! I haven't told my dad yet, he'll have a cow when he sees them. He drove over this afternoon to see the progress on my coop so far, and he said he was pretty impressed with me. Of course, he's my dad, he has to say that.

It's still 107 here... I'm drumming my fingers eager to get back outside.

I don't know where you are in Eastern Ks, but I found misters (those plastic ones that are freestanding) at Bluestem in Emporia. They still had some last week when I picked up a second one.

I'm getting 2-3 eggs a day from my 6 layers. 1 is molting (the welsumer) and maybe the GLW -- not sure. She is looking pretty rough, too.

Good luck on the misters. No one else in Emporia has them.
