Duck- oh my Goodness!!!! That little chick is the most adorable thing EVER!!! So cute!!!! Look at him, he's so tiny! What a crazy story, too! Thanks for the compliment on my coop- I'm working my bootie off on it! hehe! I'm just hoping it will be done before the babies get here. I have another month, so I think I should be okay. Of course.... that's what everyone says, right? My turkey is getting really tired of her little pen under the deck, poor thing.
Speaking of turkey! Her voice is changing! She still does some cheeping, but she's starting to get more of a turkey voice! Not a gobble, though... hard to describe. Do hens gobble, or is it just the Toms? I was kind of hoping she'd gobble... but instead she is starting to make some other kind of sound. And it's not all the time either. Mostly, she still kind of cheeps. She's dug out a little hole in her pen and sits in it a lot. Is that normal? I'm guessing she does it because she's hot? (the ground is cooler?)
