Container hazard!

I give my chickens, chicks and ducklings 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 gallon water four or five times a month in a plastic container. Recently i was out of town and my mom was taking care of my flock . She gave them Acv in a stainless steel container. She didn't know that you are not supposed to use a metal container. Although i came home on time and the container was changed to a plastic one within 30 mins or so. I am still worried. Will it harm my flock in some way?

They should be fine. I doubt there was enough time for the metal to start corroding significantly or for them to be drinking compromised water to have any effects.

If it's decent Stn Stl it shouldn't hurt it or the birds.

The acetic acid in vinegar essentially does no harm or cause corrosion in stainless steel. Your chickens will be fine.

I put ACV + water in a galvanized metal waterer and it got all rusty. I also did it in pewter and that really got eaten up!

They are referring to not using vinegar in cheap metal containers, such as the galvanized metal water cans. The acid can corrode the galvanizing.
