I'm waiting to hear back from my Dad on whether the "Blue Hair management" of his retirement village is going to allow us to bring our two GSDs with us for a visit.

I dunno what it is about this hibiscus. It's huge - over 12 feet tall! It didn't bloom well this year because we are in a drought. All along the yard fence there are volunteers off of it. The size and scope of it always amazes me. Anything my late MIL planted is like that. There's a gardenia she planted up at the cemetary that's almost as big.

oh my. I wish I had your mother in law's green thumb. We are in the business, and ours died. I guess we have the more sensitive ones. (I do not like growing them. I wish I could grow something that I actually liked. Maybe they know how I feel about them.

I would offer to take the boys while you were with dad, but I am not as good at dog management as you are. I would ruin them.
(they wouldn't be out smoking and gambling, but treats, tennis balls and squirrels galore.)

Sheila, in a way I got my own waddlers. Ever see a 14 lb. rooster walk? Every time I herd Ollie and his girls outside, I think I've got ducks!

MY DH is out of state working.....home sometime in the next two weeks. So I am on my own up here trying to figure this all out and keep them happy.

Will work on a 'shutter' today that I can open in the mornings and close at night. I felt like in spite of the down feathers it was time to close up a little at night.

Am sitting here going....N, E, S and W....lol. Directionally challanged!

tks

You're not the only one! My DH has forced me to learn directions at least a bit. I know where I am while on the farm. Take me to town and I can still get lost.

Just north of DeQueen, just south of Mena. In no man's land.

Delaware, Arkansas.....from Russellville and I40 you go south on Hwy 7 to Dardanelle. Turn right at Dardanelle onto Hwy 22 and go 13 miles and you are in Delaware. All we have is a post office. You turn right on 393 (I think it is 393) and go one mile to River Mountain Road....we are up 4 miles to the top.

My mother says that this is the true meaning of the boonies. I love it. Well, all except for the four miles of dirt road.

And I know where Mabelvale is because my Aunt lived there for years....so, I have been there!
