By purebred, do you mean whether he is 100% Buff Orpington? If so, then yes, he is. He doesn't come from any special "lineage" though. Both the mom and the dad are Buff Orpingtons purchased from Meyer Hatchery as chicks. We don't know which of our Buff Orpington hens is the mom though; we have three.
