cool weather....tell me about it

I feel your pain. I just moved out of Houston last October. Ateast Austin isn't as humid as Houston.

This is going to get you steamed...
Here we average about 65-70 during the day and 50-55 at night. I have to wear a sweatshirt as soon as the sun goes behind the trees.

All this week and next, except for tomorrow, its supposed to be in the upper seventies. Today was gorgeous and no humidity to speak of.

i feel ur pain! its hot in houston too! i hate the heat! i swear i was born in texas but i dont belong here! its too hot for me!

Here in Australia it cold and wet , its been raining on and off for the past 2 weeks. I have 2 heater going to try and keep my freezer box of a house warm. I hate winter but I really don't like the heat either, Spring and Autumn are beautiful, not to hot and not to cold.
Its about 10 degrees celcius here right now.

Well, we have not seen summer yet in northern New England. The three years I have been here it has only rained all summer and snowed heavily all winter!

The area I am in now averages 12 feet of snow, which does not melt until mid May. I had a fire in my woodstove last Sunday! The many days of -20 and -30 winter days were abnoxious. Maple season barely made up for it.

Far as I am concerned this area has been in a cooling period for at least three years.

....living vicariously.....

I moved the thermometer out of the sheltered area where it hangs and I layed it in full sun on the crunchy grass, the temp went from 107 to over 120.

The mister runs from 2:30p to 8:30p every day.

ETA: Poor chickies...

Its cold now down here but in summer we get alot of 42 Degree days (107 F) But I suppose I shouldn't windge I can always go to the beach to cool off, thats if i can make it across the scortching hot sand. man sand gets hot, you have to wear shoes (thongs - aka Flip flops) down to the waters edge.

More, more, more!!!! Add pictures of rain, and lakes, and cool green forests, and grey skies, and sweaters.....

I grew up in the northwest and lived in the northern half of the country until 15 years ago. I don't like the heat, but it isn't usually this bad, this early in the year. In the paper they said today would be the 23rd day over 100* this summer, and the 12th with record breaking heat. Usually we only have about 10 days with 100+ temps and they come in August. ARGGHHH!!!!
