Coop Build Deja Vu

Today's progress report ;

Carried and stacked roofing in backyard , got front fly rafter installed , a few more purlins done , framed out nest box side of coop . Ran out of 2 x 4's

Yes , picking up more lumber in a little while , should be it for framing lumber . Picking up Fascia boards also , gonna try to get that painted and up over the weekend and get started on the roof .

Cold and windy today , seems more like March than May . Got all the purlins done , fun working by myself , cutting , up and down ladder , really slows me down and I'm old and slow to start with . Got far coop window side about framed , one more 2 x 4 under window rough out and that sides done . That was enough for today .

Got the back framed , out of 2 x 4's again ! Started on siding .

Got a little bit done today , siding on both sides and back is done including gable end , framed run side gable end , picked up 2 x 4"s and 1 x 4's . Got front of coop about framed , one more wall stud and it'll be done . Forgot to take pictures . My daughter picked up a weather vane she wants on the coop , I'll give it a look tomorrow and see what I need to do to get it mounted .

My painter showed up after I left for the day , she got started on the gable end fly rafters and the siding that is up . She didn't forget pictures

I enjoyed this thread. In the basics, my coop is similar to yours. I still can’t believe how many times I ran out of 2x4s. I need only 4 more hon. Are you sure that’s all? Absolutely I said. 15 2x4s later I was still short. Where do they go???
