I have been looking for pretty much the same thing you are, although I have been rather lazy in my search. It seems like every reasonably priced one that is battery powered has bad and/or very few reviews.

Well, that’s nice to hear I’ve found a couple, but I can’t really tell what they do. One seemed ok, but I couldn’t figure out if it recorded full time. It was probably right there in front of my face though Any specific one you’ve seen?

Bought one and it requires an Amazon account. It got sent back.

Is the Kasa not an option for you to run an extension cord?

That’s what we do, an extension cord. I also have a fan in the coop for the hot days! So I like that there is power.

I use Ring outdoor battery operated stick up camera. I have 1 in their coop, 1 in their run, 1 in their extended run, and 3 in the backyard.
I'm very happy with it!
Great nighttime camera, microphone, even has a speaker to talk through it if you want. Download Ring app and you can watch them alll day. You can have it record upon motion detection, have it alert you on motion, etc. Not to mention great battery life. No power needed.

You are unlikely to find a camera that records continuously on battery. The power demand to record continuously is to great to have any kind of battery life.

Yeah, I wish. But I can’t run an extension cord. I have a battery powered fan that I use.
