I have not gotten anything yet. This thread was mostly for future planning (I was planning on getting one in the next few months) the fact that you don’t want it to record full time gives you a lot more options though!! Sorry I’m not any help@Squawkers what camera did you end up getting (if you did get one, do you like it)?
I am in nearly your exact circumstances - need something that connects to my phone, cheap(er), and battery powered (or at least battery back-up if the electricity fails). I don't really need it to record, just want to be able to see the hens in real time.

Ok, I’ll look into it! I need it in a month so I have to make a decision quickly!I think I had decided on this one. I think I’m going to have to give up full time recording because it’s just too hard to find in a battery powered one. Although looking at it now, it must have been on sale when I was looking at it earlier because it was NOT that much!
