I had a nice level area picked out....

I decided 12'x20' would be a nice size so I started to dig...

I started building the coop with the idea in mind that one day there might not always be chickens here...

The roof was finally done....I can finally get on to fun part of this project!

I figured 12'x5 1/2' for the living quarters...

After a long day creating...

Combine your interests and get the chickens to play back-up guitar for those jam sessions.

You show a lot of foresight in your building by making the structure large and roomy. If you take the chickens on tour, you can rent it out while you're gone.

I have 16 chickens but so far I am sure 8 of them are roosters....possibly one more but I am not sure.
I am hoping that the local Amish chicken dealer will take the roosters as trade-ins on some new hens.

I have never heard of anyone doing that. But it is cool!
