Still working on the coop... I came across some vinyl siding REAL cheap....
Anyway...we let the chickens out of their cages on the weekends and let them free range all day. When we went to put them back at the end of the day we couldn't find one. My wife said the last time she saw that particular chicken was under her Accord. We looked and looked but couldn't find it. Finally I laid on the ground with a flashlight, because it was dark by then, and looked under the car really good and found the missing hen perched up on the brake line on the right rear wheel. I tried to get her out but she had wedged herself in there. I finally had to jack up the car and remove the rear wheel in order to get the chicken out! Fun fun fun!!!

That's one lucky chicken!

Your coop looks really nice! How big is it?

I'm building a coop also, and my framing is now finished. Gotta get the OSB up on the roof today. Then on to roofing. I think this will be our last coop. DH is making me build this one (8X12). He's helping, but I'm doing the majority of the work. I'm quickly finding out, I'm not good at building. I worked for 1 1/2 hours yesterday on some bracing for the roof, and my DH comes and does the other side in 10 minutes.

So I guess if there's an award for the slowest builder, I'd win hands down.

Thanks for the compliments... I used to work for a home builder when I was in my 20s. After that I was a carpenter at a huge boatyard...
Currently I have been working as a cabinetmaker for the last 20 years.
Funny you should say something about it being square... the first thing they teach you working in a boatyard is "Nothing is square"!
