Coop ladder

We have a broody hen sitting on some eggs inside this coop. I have food and water in there ready for them. I was hoping we could let her raise them with the flock. My concern is the 3 foot drop and ladder to get in and out the coop. Will she stay in the coop until they are big enough to come out? I'm not sure of the protocol after they are born!

Nice ladder. Most people move their hen to a ground level nest so the peeps won't fall. Mama will try to take them outside and that's a doozy of a ladder for chicks.

Update: I stapled a towel to the ladder. 4 days after hatching mama took them out and back up all on their own! Incredible. They are now over 5 weeks old and sleep on the roosting bar with all the chickens!
