In the Brooder
Hi Everyone!
Trying to place a coop for the long run. Has anyone watched Edible Acres on youtube? He has a really interesting chicken set up where they work all his composting material, in addition to the deep litter method. Anyway, I'd like to implement some permaculture practices and I believe ideally the chickens would do best close to the house (zone 1 and all). I'm considering putting the chickens to the left of the house. Which is south west facing, but has a decent amount of shade from the trees and the house. I believe this satelittle photo was taken in the late afternoon. I'm trying to balance where to put chickens and where to put a kitchen garden. And our yard has a pretty steep slope... I'd love to hear any suggestions!
