You could build a free run like the coop but without the nesting boxes and make a mesh tunnel from the free run to the coop. I got the tunnel idea from the Urban Chicken. The tunnel idea also works if you have little space. I'm considering doing this myself.

yeah, thats why we need more room... I have two ee's and 2 rir's.

Are the RIRs the aggresive ones? I have heard they can be.

yes. the rirs are aggressive and they pick the feathers off of the ee's.

Do you have feed for laying hens? Yes. That should be enough protein. (Maybeish I thinkish)
