Coop

I've drawn enough coop plans to choke a dang horse lol. There are a few things you have to decide first. What size? Walk in? Attached run with fence? Wanna get your eggs without going in? How do you plan to feed and water? Gonna use litter? What roost set up?

There are lots of things to decide before you start designing, but that was the fun part for me. Young Mennonite that built mine cracked up cause I had drawings and have been hoarding stuff for it for yrs.

Plans? Don't need no stinking plans...
Chicken coops are like folk art. What do you have on hand to work with and how are your construction skills.
I designed and built off the roof panel I got for free.
To that I read on here about the needs (draft free, predictor proof..) and sizes (roost, nest box, poop board..) how many birds per sqr foot, what budget I was going to set on fencing, hardware, lumber...
After knowing those factors I put them in what I had to work with and put my mad skills to work. my design was not a work in progress but an epiphany of what was possible with i had to work with.
