Copper Maran

Thanks! I knew I had 2 Polish Roosters, but the lady who sold me the barred (thanks for that, BTW!) chicken said he was a she, and both the black one and the barred one were copper marans. Granted they were only a couple weeks old, so maybe she didn't know. Now I have 3 roosters with only 4 hens! Not sure what to do with this!

The black pullet is an Olive Egger most likely a cross of Marans and an Easter Egger. She has a beard and ear muffs. The white pullet does not have a bearfd and muffs but I suspect she is an Olive or Easter Egger as well.

The black chicken is a hen. Can you get a closer picture of her? She doesn't look like a maran, but it might be the distance.

The barred chicken (the patteren is called barred--speckled is a different pattern) is a rooster and is not a maran. He looks is a mix. A closer pic would help determine what breeds he is mixed with.

The polish is also a rooster.

Both birds in the second photo appear to be cockerels. Agree the solid black one in the first photo is a female. I agree we need some better photos to be sure!😊

Yes, we were told both the white ones were Easter Eggers, but they got the black one's breed wrong...
