So I've been playing with chickens for a few years and I have landed on the splash marans due to the just really sweet nature of my personal flock. I'm working to improve my conformation and am also gettng better egg color now but my question is about feather color: .. I have a cool and very handsome copper splash rooster that is loving the blue splash ladies!
My chicks are here and look all to be splash which I expected would happen. (they hatched fuzzy white with a little blue hint to their heads and the older chicks are splashing out now)
Will they all be blue splash (as i read he carries 2 blue genes?) or will some be copper splash like their daddy?
Time will give me my answer but I was wondering if anyone else is working with these colors and may have more knowledge..
