Corid dosage for the 20% soluble coccistat powder to 1 gallon water?

I've thought about trying the nipple waterer in the house, but I always used a regular waterer in the run set up on a concrete block to keep it off the ground for my last flock. Right now the block is too high for these girls to use yet so I'm just using regular small square blocks to keep it off the ground. We get a couple months of freezing temperatures so I don't think the nipple waterer would work out well in the run. They are quite messy at this age, so I have had to clean them daily and sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.
The nipple water fountains stay clean. They are sealed.

I like that yours are to the side of the bucket. The ones I've seen at the feed stores are at the bottom, so I would have to hang it much higher. My house is a little over 2 1/2 feet off the ground and with the water weight it would be a little harder to hang higher as they grow. I've seen the nipples sold separately, some with the plastic cup and some with just a metal piece. Not sure if one is better than the other.

If your chicks are in a brooder and it gets wet (the bedding) combined with a heat source = a breeding ground for coccidia.

Keep it as dry as possible.

I buy the nipples from Amazon and make the water fountains. The place is called cornerstone ventures

My brooder was much drier than the run. We've been getting alot of rain and hot temperatures, but my run hasn't had time to dry between rain showers. I'm going to use the hay for now to help dry it out. I can't have sand hauled in until it can dry out some. I'd like to do some gravel rock with sand on top, but we'll see.

I didn't expect them to eat all the grass as quick as they did. My last flock was in a big dog kennel 10x10x6 high for a run and we put it on wheels so we could move it around the yard, plus they free ranged during the day. Their house was too small for the cold months though, and it was heavy to keep moving around the yard. I kind of wish I had chosen to go that route again, but I wanted a larger chicken house this time and building a larger attatched run made more sense at the time. I'm sure once I get better flooring it won't seem so bad. Plus I'm hoping to start ranging them within the next few weeks as they get a little bigger.

It was so green when I first put them out there...not so much anymore. And they won't be 9 weeks old until Wednesday! We've added a shade cloth since the picture was taken (we were using a tarp at first) and we'll be adding a roof to half of the run this week. But it's 22 feet long and 12 foot wide plus the space under the house.
