Notice a little bit of blood in poop. Can I mix corid into their water at 1/2 teaspoon per gallon to prevent coccidiosis in all my chicks? attached in a picture, there was a little more inside the coop on paper. Want to be ahead of it before it gets worse. They are all active and energetic, eating and drinking.

I'm a little confused on your dosage? Treatment dosage is 2 teaspoons per gallon for five days. If you're seeing blood and have coccidiosis concerns, I'd personally give them the full amount.

If you're looking to scale this down for a chick waterer, it works out to a 1/2 teaspoon for 32 ounces of water.

Give the Correct dosing is you are wanting to treat with Corid.

Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.

Thanks for the reply. Have been giving the correct dose of powdered Corid with plain water and changing every morning so they have a fresh mixture, then a fresh mixture at night. The picture posted was first day when noticed and immediately gave a Corid mixture. Since the giving them the Corid mixture, there has been no blood in the stool. Wanted to treat immediately not allowing coccidiosis to fully develop. All chicks are healthy and active and have access to this mixture all the time.

Glad they are doing better.
1/2 teaspoon Powdered Corid is not the correct dosing.
