Corid Withdrawal Time

I know this is an old thread, but im wondering if my eggs are affected since I just lost my roosterlast night to cocci. The girls have been on corid since mon, but if he was mating at all before he died, does cocci pass? And if any of the hens get it at all, does it pass into the egg?

Most adult chickens will be immune to cocci on your property, unless they are exposed to a new strain by a new chicken or moving to new ground. Coccidiosis shouldn't affect eggs, and treating with Corid will also not affect eggs--there is no egg withdrawal with Corid. Did your rooster have bloody poops? What were his symptoms?

He was only about 10 months old, hie first spring, didnt even have his spurs yet. He was ruffled, lethargic, white/ green dirreah. He was doing the classic wobble/eye closing. I also have 7 week olds, not in any contact with the older birds, and I found bloody stool in their coop today.
