CORN IN CROP

I wonder if it's a regional thing- I just clicked on all of them - the only one that shows unavailable is the band-aid hurt free antiseptic - there's a 2 pack if it's looked up by product. https://www.amazon.com/Band-Aid-Brand-First-Hurt-Free-Antiseptic/dp/B0056AY3WU/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2D0YXFU2UK53M&keywords=bandaid+hurt+free+antiseptic&qid=1654291557&sprefix=bandaid+hurt+,aps,183&sr=8-3&th=1 Though I usually just get it at Walmart.

The kit shows available for one-day delivery, same with the sutures. Again, could be where you live vs. where I live on availability.

The good news is there are many versions of these kits and most come with about the same stuff, so if nothing else the links should serve as a good jumping off point. The important component in sutures is finding the "chromic" ones - in the link provided, it was the cheapest (and immediately available) in my area that included chromic in their pack.
It could well be. I'm in the UK. Sorry to bother you. I like to know if a link I provide no longer functions. After a while one gets quite a few and it isn't practicable to check them all on a regular basis.
It's probably just unavailable in the UK and EU in that case.

Must be- which makes sense, in order to have something available for same or next day delivery (which is what I made my Amazon search on) they have to have it sitting in a warehouse reasonably near by to its destination.

Just out of curiousity, if you search "suture practice kits" and "sutures" does anything come up as available for you over there?

I would try tube feeding her fluids if she won’t drink enough. You can use a piece of aquarium air line or oxygen tubing, attached to a 35 ml syringe from the feed store. Take a lighter and slightly melt the end of the tubing that goes into the throat, so that it is not sharp. Add some sugar water or electrolytes. A little uncooked egg might give her some strength. Many people do crop surgery at home when desperate and there is no vet care available. It would require an extra pair of hands, a disposable scalpel, tweezers, and superglue or sutures, supplies for dressing the wound. There are some good videos online, but I have not attempted it before. Here is a video on tube feeding:

OK TY but one more question; Do they need something to numb it or for pain before hand? That will be LAST RESORT and only to save her life. I will get the TY ing tomorrow

Yes lots of choice on both Google and Amazon.

Thank you so much for your reply. This is a wealth of knowledge. I hope I don't have to do it but I will to save her life

Me too, it is a last resort.

For tube feeding, no need to numb anything. And don't add lubrication because you don't want the lubricating substance to get down her windpipe.

You can usually find a puppy feeding tube at Petsmart, possibly at your local feed store (or order off Amazon as the two fastest methods)- the main thing is to not add a bunch of stuff via feeding tube until you know at least fluid is making it through. i.e. the same way you wouldn't put a bunch more stuff down a backed up sink. So if her crop is already full/hard feeling, don't add anything, it will just come back up.

If you do tube feed her, I would start with just a small amount of water, no more than 10mls. For example, I don't give standard size (6-7lb) birds (with completely empty crops) more than 35mls at any one time.

No need to numb either tube feeding or crop surgery. I would only do crop surgery myself if a vet was absolutely not available and the chicken is in danger. That said, view as many YouTube videos and threads as possible, get help, msupplies, and remember that there are 2 layers to glue or suture—the crop itself and the skin. Good luck and let us know how she gets along.

Her crop isnt full or hard. I can just feel 3 or 4 pieces of shucked corn in it
