You are so up to date! I love people that can pass information that's truly good, not a bunch of heresay.
Thank you!! I appreciate that. I try to be. I’ve read about it before but have been reading again tonight trying to figure it all out.

Hmm, DW wanted to make a couple homemade pizzas for dinner, didn't have any pepperoni or mushrooms and didn't want to run to town. But we do have lots of bacon in the freezer. Bacon and onion pizzas :drool

I know some people swear that pineapple doesn't belong on a pizza ... but those have obviously never had a bacon/pineapple pizza!

I wouldn't tell you stories Kdog or waste your money even though I know you like to waste money.
A vet can't do the testing...he would have to send it off to your state lab so bypass the vet fees.
VERY valid point! Going directly to the source will save time and money.

😂🤣😂 I don’t enjoy it or go out of my way or whatever though aha I just convince myself I need it or whatever. But I haven’t bought anything in a while anyway.

And a million 😂🙈

But I’m actually going to be giving a bunch to my brother because he said he wants some.
You do too. You went to tons of stores in a night 😂 that's going out of you way lol

Yeah but I don’t buy anything anymore!!! I’ve been better. And I haven’t gone anywhere lately. Even before this crap I was going less places. I’ve been better lately.

The only thing I got was some more food for the budgies yesterday from Chewy so I wouldn’t have to go to a store to get it.

This must've just happened within the past week since you haven't texted. You were in stores or sitting in parking lots 😂

....
Than came back to me. He lived for 4 years , so as a 4 year old he became lame . When he couldn't eat, I had to give him the vodka cocktail to cull.
....
Still crazy curious here...how does the vodka cocktail work??
I'd Love to know an easier way when I have to cull humanely.

Other wild birds can be carriers to your chicken.
Is this in general, or is this more common in some areas more than others?
Like backyard song birds...or ...sparrows?
I find that wild birds can transport the virus if there's some chickens in your area that have it and the wild birds carry the dander.
Any idea how close another farm might have to be? I don't have any other chickens around that I can hear or know of...

This has me wondering about Mareks, which to my knowledge I've not had in my flock to date. Only one time, many years ago, did I bring adult birds into an established flock. Since then it's been chicks under a week old that I've ordered or bought locally, or have had a broody hen hatch out.

Can chicks from a hatchery bring in Mareks? From what I can find, probably not.
