Wondering how many duck eggs I'll get to incubate this time... They asked how much money I wanted for incubating them and I told them I only want ducklings like last time.

I'm wondering how fast these turkeys grow. I seriously can't believe he got them 🤷🏼‍♀️

My husband said that we weren't going to do meat until we moved. I did 3 chickens and now he wants everything for meat 😂

😂🤣😂

I really want to do meat birds too now!!! Haha it’s so weird!!

@featherhead007 Don’t worry!! I didn’t like killing Red or anything. ❤ Just now that I know I can kill something, I’d kind of like to try it. Especially with everything going on right now. I’m going to have a huge garden this year so figure I may as well raise our own meat too. Probably won’t happen though but maybe. @FortCluck is right about my mother though hah

They grow fast! And they eat a lot!
At least if they are broad breasted whites, which they look like and the price point (original price) makes me think they are.
Most hatchery pages will have a good feed to pound conversion chart.

I've kept broad breasted white hens, who I let mature to laying stage, and crossed them with my Bourbon Red tom with good success. They were heavy and lumbering hens, much like if you kept a cornish cross meat type of hen, but active enough to be happy in a large barnyard setting. They layed well too.

I'm gonna try not to make a big issue of this, but, I found my hen "Sunshine" on the floor of the coop this morning. No not dead, but not on the perches. She is having respiratory trouble, like my "BeeBees" had, before she died last month. (I do not cuss or swear) but some angry, unfriendly words come to mind. I had to tell someone, so why not here with my friends on BYC?:hit:barnie:fl:fl:he:(
