It was delicious!!!If you forgot dinner, it wasn't very good obviously!
Ahhh okay that makes sense then!!!
And yeah I love them!!! I’ve ordered from them a ton haha
My first and second set of chickens came from them as well as my hatching eggs. This latest batch I got from Ideal only because Meyer didn’t carry the breed I wanted. I’ve been super happy with them too though so far. And then of course this new batch in July will be from Meyer.
And yeah I’ll be ready! If necessary, I will butcher some early!!!
That said though, my last batch didn’t give me any troubles until about 16 weeks old and even then, it was mostly just crowing, so I’m hoping this batch will be the same.especially since it is less boys. Only 5 instead of 8 like I had before and these guys will also have a lot more room so hopefully they will work out their pecking order early on and be no issues.
But there are also more girls in this group whereas before it was basically a bachelor pad with the exception of one girl so that might complicate things with girls to fight over.
But I’m ready and might do it in stages anyway with doing some earlier.
Not so old!![]()
It was long ago, far away...
That’s a good idea!! Thanks!! Would crates work??? Think I have a couple of those. Can build something bigger if necessary though.I found emergency separation cages to be very handy indeed.
Might want to plan on building some in case they get to fighting.
The 40+ was with me being old enough to help pluck. Yeah I am officially old.
It seems like an eternity.

Thank you!! This is really helpful. And definitely good advice.I had oopsters 20+ years ago. They tore my rooster up really bad.
I made 2'x2'x2' emergency cages. They were tight but sufficed until I could take them to a swap meet. Not enough meat on a silkie to be worth the effort.
They were also going after my then 8 year old son.
Be ready for it is my advice.
