You are so full of stercoraciousness, I love it!:thumbsup

Wow, somebody actually threw a word out there with which I was unfamiliar. Filed for future use, and thank you, Sir. I will keep it for next time I need something of a less than delicate nature to toss into a ventilator. 😉

One of the arguments I have with the mandated homemade masks that protects no one. Hear and see many saying they wear N95 masks... There ain't a chance in H, E , double hockey puck I'd wear one to go to a grocery store when I keep hearing our medical professionals do not have a adequate supply.
You can make cloth masks to hold Hepa filter material, and they filter out nearly as much as commercial ones.

No one adopts black or dark colored animals either. It’s so sad. :(

Obviously cats cause of all the superstition and people don’t like dark dogs either for whatever reason. I think they’re more afraid of them than lighter animals or maybe worry they will be able to see the fur more when they shed or something. Idk. It’s ridiculous. They’re just as good as any other dog.

I don't get it either. When my parents finally got their first dog (after I'd begged for years and years, even after I gave them the perfect grades they demanded from me, they waited until I moved out and then got one ) my mom's only request was "No black dog." I went with them to see a litter of 3 pups, 2 were black. Of course they took the non black one.

My current male dog is mostly black, with a bit of tan. Fine with me, I don't really care what color they are. None of my dogs have been beauty queens anyhow.

It's odd, but I've always been drawn to black dogs for just that reason. Since I lost my old border collie mix, two years ago, this is the first time in decades that I haven't had a black dog in the house. I make it up in cats, though.

I have two inky cats. The first I rescued as a dying stray kitten four years ago. He wasn't supposed to stay, but by the time I got him through all of his health and mischief issues, I was too attached to let him go. He's now a massive black moose with an extremely cool, laid back personality. One of the two we adopted last weekend is also all black - a long-haired feral who is coming around really nicely already.

My two current dogs are rescues, as well. Both were found wandering as strays. The older one is pushing fifteen, by our vet's best guess. I've had him for over ten years, now. The younger one is a two year old basket case! If I'm in the position to do it, and a stray doesn't find me again first, my next dog will likely be a total surprise. I've always dreamed of walking into a shelter, telling them how much space and time I have, and letting them pick the dog. I don't care about age, gender, color, size, coat, anything. All I really need is a sweet face and a sweeter disposition. I want them to bring me someone who needs me.

I'm a firm believer that "Rescued" is the best breed of ANY pet!
