I don't have any helpers either. Hubby pulled his groin badly and it will be months before he recovers. I am in a dark mood today. Dealing with chicken buyers can be stressful. I need rolls of wire, but I hate to go out in public. Want to finish this run so I can get on with cleaning coops.

The pallet is going up against the hoop coop, since this is the side that gets the prevailing wind.
Waiting for paint to dry.

We can be surly together. :hugs
I skipped a bunch of chores outside (but did a few not on the list). It got hot so I moved to laundry and housework.
I am grumpy. Here in this dry climate the grass should be cut on a mowers highest setting to avoid over drying and death. Hubs had lowered the mower deck. WHYYYYYYY?!? For crying out loud I am the only one that mows the crap. Now I cannot get the rear adjuster to budge.

Since huskies came up the other day... just saw this and thought it was hilarious. 😂🤣

Yup....sounds like my house except there are more dogs chewing my butt!

Oh wow can’t imagine multiple dogs doing it!!! Haha
I would rather that than what my dog does...

She swims in the water bowl 😂 my beagle gets like that during dinnertime. She will tap dance for her food.
Hahah OMG 😂🤣

I love how dramatic he is lmao

How's the chicken market in everyone's area now days?
Just wondering if anyone's seeing shortages or inflated prices?

Inflated prices, doesn't look like it. "Shortage," yes (not an actual shortage, but increased demand above the stock available). The feed store I plan on getting chicks says they're selling out on the days of shipment arrival and you need an appointment to even see the chicks.

When I grow up I want to be a professional student.

I actually tried that. Got too expensive lol, you'd need someone to sponser you or something. I even snuck into lecture halls to sit in on classes I didn't register for, for free learning (I used to live about a mile from my university).

In more urban/suburban areas, like mine, it's a much more "throwaway world." It's sad, and truth be told, many modern-day, would-be farmers only respect the almighty dollar. If it's free or cheap, it's not worth much. Our local shelters are full of dogs and cats ... and people ... that the community has tossed aside.

I wouldn't say that's true for all areas. My area has a shortage in adoptable dogs and the vast majority of dogs up for adoption are brought in from out of area or out of state. I literally can't get to a shelter fast enough to even see a dog before it's adopted out.

All 3 of my current dogs plus 1 previous one were trucked in from other states like CA and TX.

Nope, Nope, NOPE! I'f I'm gonna watch a movie, I wanna LAUGH! Or at least be educated. Historical Fiction? Yup! ... Science Fiction? Yup! ... Disney-style? Yup! ... Comedy? Yup! ... Musicals? Heck Yeah! ... Murder mysteries? Not so much ..... Tear jerkers, Not much, either ... Horror? Oh, HECK and HADES NO!

I guess I've been in a horror type mood lately. I don't do movies, but I've been binge watching youtube videos of people playing through horror games (actually I watch while browsing BYC lol). Somehow it's less scary when someone else is controlling it, and screaming, instead of me...

Minion fan in the hoouuuse!!

(like literally...it's kiddo's fav)

Shamefully a Minions fan too. 😅 I really don't watch movies at all but I have most of the Despicable Me ones, and hubby even agreed to take me to the theater to watch Minions.

I want to read a book about the Jewish people who survived the Holocaust. Those people amaze me because they literally went through it all then told their story.

Uh, well I have a whole collection of those. Don't think you'd really want to read them... I think people hope for something uplifting or hopeful from the survivors perspectives but that doesn't really exist except in Hollywood dramas. A lot of survivor's guilt that followed people to their graves.

I'd want to read them. Can't make people feel a certain way when they've gone through so much.

Thanks!! Good to know!! Yeah, movies don’t typically go for historically accurate or even just plain accurate.... just action and views/entertainment 😂🙈

Still, I am much more of a movie/visual person

Maybe I’ll do both haha

Wow you really dislike him, huh!? Haha must be good reason though???

I’ll find it and read it.

And I have heard that one and like that one! Although I always thought it was wolves?
Wolves are the modern meme equivalent. The original quote was "dogs," but apparently wolves are cooler!

Oh - and I guess it came across off, but the movie is good (the documentary one, not the Hollywood story,) but leaves out so much that some of it either doesn't make sense or leads to the wrong backstory conclusions. I guess they had to do that to keep the movie from being tree weeks long!

Ah okay that makes sense!! I figured it was the opposite, that someone changed it to dogs cause it’s more relatable 😂🤣 or maybe someone changed it to wolves cause they thought it made more sense or something

Wait there’s two movie versions!?

I think I’ll probably just have to read the book, I’m sure it’s interesting, I’m just super slow at reading haha

I used to love it though so I want to get back into it but now I get bored or frustrated with it 😂🤣🙈
