Does it matter? Either way covid was present so was a likely contributor to the death.

Please, this is not supposed to be a political thread.
I am not trying to insult anyone, and I apologize if I offend anyone, but as far as I can tell, this thread was started as a place where people could support others in these hard times.
It is stated in the very first post:

Truth does indeed matter.
However, politics is a complicated subject that is best avoided, as people's opinions on what it and is not the truth differ greatly when it comes to such a subject.
What may be true for one person could sound like complete lies to another, and people naturally want to, and will, defend their beliefs.
For this reason, I, at least, think that it would be best to avoid comments concerning the government and their actions, or at least avoid making comments that so directly address these matters.
Apologies if I offended anyone with this post or if I come off as high-and-mighty and superior or condescending -- or all of those things. That was not my intention, and I apologize to anyone who takes offense at my post.
I am simply trying to keep the topic on supporting others and getting support from others -- what the OP intended this thread be used for -- and away from political matters.
May you all be safe during this pandemic.

Did they die WITH COVID19 or FROM COVID19?

The two we lost were both healthy men in their 40's and early 50's. They didn't know anyone with the virus, either. They drove commuter buses. The trackers said they picked it up from someone on their routes. They're both dead., to recap your "shouting" ... FROM COVID19

My mother's best friend is trapped in a nursing home. There have been and remain multiple cases there - both resident and staff - and yes, there have been deaths. It's a very good facility. They always screened heavily whenever Mom visited, even before this mess started. No one was allowed in if they so much as sniffled. Whoever brought the virus in didn't seem sick at the time, and people died. Were there underlying conditions, there? Sure.
So, to answer your question - They died WITH Covid19 - but without it, they would STILL BE ALIVE! What's more, there wouldn't be others fighting for their lives on respirators or waiting for someone to slip up with precautions ... like wearing masks! ... and pass the virus along further.

So again, please rethink the "it's overblown" mentality. It's only "overblown" if you haven't personally seen it. And not everything in life has to be seen to be believed ...

I may regret it later ... but I'm going to post this before I change my mind. I owe it to at least three friends and their families to make it known.
