No...Does anybody remember what they learned in high school?![]()
This has nothing to do with insurance, but ... Hey, we're practically COUSINS!
I'm a GM Brat myself! My parents met while Dad was attending GMI (Kettering) in MI. He worked for the Baltimore plant for decades - from the time when it was still known as Fisher Body. On a regular basis, part of his job - and a real exec perk - was to bring home random vehicles from the assembly line and test drive them and evaluate them. The perks for us were that it was during the time of the old muscle cars. We had Chevelles, Monte Carlos, the first Corvette Stingray made at that plant (metallic silver - and sleeeeeeek!) and the second GTO Judge ever produced, anywhere. Vin #01 was the California prototype. Vin #02 was the East Coast one ... and 02 was in our driveway. Ya wanna talk about COOL?!
I'll never forget the first time Dad let Mom drive the 'Vette." We stopped at the local grocery store to get just a few basics ... and ended up doing the full weekly shop ... apparently forgetting that she only had the tiny trunk and behind the seats to carry it home. Embarrassed, she called my Dad so he could come rescue us. Now, a little back story ... growing up, the only cursing I ever heard was in Italian, no one spoke that way at home. Mom had no sooner asked, "Can you come get us?" when, before she could explain why, Dad bellowed, "$^%$#%$! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CAR?" He was so loud that Mom held the phone away from her ear, so the whole store heard ... and I was in shock. I finally knew what all that muttered Italian meant!
Also stopped at a BJ's wholesale food store, they also had a limit, only one of each meat item...
Okay folks seeing as we're talking food. Here's a doozy!
One of our oldest spent all day to make this real romin soup..... The pork was in the oven for 3.5hrs the stock started to cook about 10:30AM.
Does everyone on here have depression? I do too.I have depression already, it doesn’t feel like it’s that
BJ's said one item each, one pork one beef one chicken one turkey. DW did not get a turkey, I said shouldn't you have got at least turkey burger? She said says don't you think the 80lbs of turkey in our freezer is enough? Finally noticed the meat "shortage" today as I wanted to get some pork sirloin, but both stores I checked had only pork shoulder and country ribs. Second store had a limit, 2 pork items per customer. So guess I'll use chicken thighs for my paprikash instead.
My sister passed away on Friday. Glad she's happy now. That was tough for her. I had heard and read that this would be an easy one. Hard on us now.
