That reminds me, I forgot to mention that we couldn't find ANY meat at all when we went to town. Sausages, kielbasa, that sort of thing, but no real meat.. Strange seeing the cases all empty

We have meat, but rather hit or miss. One of my usual stores is a smaller local chain so they had a lot more, but the national brand store was a bit sparse.

Duuuuuuuude mentally drooling here.
My most trusty steed was "superoo"(Grampa w/altzhiemers called it that) she was an '87 GL-10 turbo wagon 4EAT by the VIN..... However I got it without a motor or tranny. Spring break I took my 1st wagon 86 carb'd GL D/R 5spd an graffted all I could onto the GL-10, scored a j/y engine shipped to the guys shop where I was doing this swap. Carcus $450, $650 motor & shipping. About 6 months to a year later set $ to PKDavis in San Diego for the Backyardboys Aussie lift kit. Yes that car got more airtime then the FAA wants to hear about! That girl made so many round trips to Michigan, a round trip to Cali, twice... And a 2003 summer run to BlackRockCity!

Awe man I want to find an XT or XT6 in the worst way...... Gotta go to bed ......
:drool
I never knew about the lift kits when I had mine, really wished I did. They have a Weber carb kit for them also. I would love to have a old gl again someday and lift it, but good one's around here hard to find, winter salt rotted them out. Elsewhere they are about sought after as the old '60-'70s Ford Broncos.
They still did pretty good baja'ing without a lift, plates under all the important parts like they were made for it. Whenever I made it way up past all the full size big tire trucks I'd scream "Subarubaroo!!!"

Right now I am selling Giant Cochins (Jersey Giant/Cochin). Both of these breeds are mellow and very easy for a starter to buy to get into chickens.
I have Jersey Giant/Naked necks now. I loved the Giants but love the Naked necks more. The Naked roosters were terrible, prob alot was from being hatchery stock. The cross though is just as calm and nice as the Giants were. Sandhill white Giants, very good birds. The dude from Sandhill might not be the best SOP breeder but I give him a review of very good roosters, red sussex were good also, must pay attention for temperament. My Giant/Naked neck roosters nicer than the hens now :wee
I don't have any patience for nasty roosters when there is nice one's.

I'll try to find some Digi pics of my lifted D/Ragon. Those are funny videos. I actually remember that red Brumby back in the early 2000's from the subie forums!
Last 'cool' car I had several yrs ago now was a '78 Pontiac Catalina, thing was cherry, even interior, one owner 50,000 miles never drove in winter. I drove it for a few years. Just had the 301 v8 so not a powerhouse but 😎. My oldest DD hated it called it the 'brown turd' 😆.
Only reason I sold it I had a lead on a '84 Subaru Brat from a milk truck driver that came into where I work. DW about threw a fit, "your not going to buy a two seater when we have five kids!" There is two jump seats in the back! and we have the suburban anyway!
Then I made the mistake of mentioning I wouldn't drive the Brat in the winter. She took my Catalina money and paid bills instead :sick

Alright, crew. It's late here and DD & I have an appointment in the morning with a photographer for some rather unique senior portraits. I'll catch you all afterwards!

Will you post pics here so we can congratulate? 😀

Okay - One more note before we head out for photos ... I've got eight RC Nankin egglets on the last day of lockdown (due out tomorrow, so we may get one, tonight. We have had a HORRIBLE time with babies dying in the shell at the last minute. Sometimes there's an internal pip, but not always ... but those little babies are fully formed and ready ... then die. I know that Nankins are notorious for this (especially RC's) but there has GOT to be a way to get past this.

Since many hatch at Day 20 (bantams ... ACK!) I've considered poking a hole at the end of Day 21 or 22, if they're not pipped. I've also had some break the shell but not really get the membrane. The last two that did that, I caught in time and pulled just enough membrane away to let the baby breathe. Both survived and at least one's a pullet! YAY!!!
Any suggestions to help boost our poor hatch rates are more than welcome.

I would say, ask @Pyxis. She is one of the most knowledgeable folks I have seen on hatching since I've been here. Please tell me what the RC stands for?

Yesterday was an emotional and interesting day. My youngest DD Graduated HS. It was supposed to be last weekend, but they had to come up with a way to do it differently this year. Normally it's held inside, this year it was held outside. The students were seated 6 feet apart from each other in the front court yard and the families all had an assigned numbered square on the front lawn spaced 6 feet apart from each family group. It's a small town, so only 22 in her class this year.
The ceremony was short and sweet. When the kids names were called the super attendant would place their diploma on the statue in the court yard, step away and the kid would walk up to get it. The Principle would then say something about each kids accomplishments. A local radio station broadcasted it, so those who wanted to be there but were not allowed close enough to here could listen to it on the radio.
It was also live streamed for anyone who could not come could see it.

After it was done, they had a parade. All the seniors were driven up and down Main st. They were led by the police, fire dept. and the EMT vehicles. Sirens blaring the whole time. It was amazing to see how many people came out to congratulate them. This was one graduation that no one will ever forget!

My DD is the one in black and the other is her best friend.

RC = rose combs. I like the single combs (SC) too, but they're easier to breed and harder to find, so of course, they're the ones I had to fall for, right? ARGH!
