Mroo, I didn't mean that other places don't have good stock, but you peeps are my friends!I would buy from DD in a heartbeat, rather than hatcheries, or anyone else, (if I could)

Fair price!Okay, on this topic; I'm raising three French Marans pullets from Cackle, vaccinated against Marek's disease, for a person who can only have three hens, and didn't want to raise them himself. So they will be six weeks old, off heat, and definitely pullets, when he gets them. Price? How about $20 each? Too much? Too little?

AMEN!
I've got a 22y/o that's still not quite grasping the bigger picture of "kindergarten rules apply" here still and for the rest of your life. (Smirks)
Thank you. That reminds me, (I havn't taken my blood pressure pill) today. No Joke meant by that!Man, I feel like I'm walking on a tightrope, we live in such a split world! And I nearly fell off a little bit ago, my heart is still racing.... I have a doctor appointment early next week, just a regular check-up. So they called me this morning to say that since I'm high-risk they don't want me to come in, instead the doctor will call me and we'll do it over the phone. Great, okay, fine. Then about half an hour ago my SIL texts wanting to know if she can come over NOW and get something of her brother's that's here at the house. Now? NOW?!?Yikes! I'm like, uh, no, I can't find it .... while my blood turns to ice! She's one of these people that never slowed down. I don't want to be anywhere near her!![]()

Then it is true, you do have chickens!oh good grief, thanks! I didn't take my insanity pills today either! I'll go take them now, better late than not at all!
Ok, that's great. You can think for yourself and are crowing about it from the top of the coop. Too bad everyone cannot. If they did we would not need warning labels on toasters warning people not to use the toaster while taking a bath, right? Some of us don't have to time warp for these...
I have worn a seat belt far longer than it has been the law. I do not need the government to mandate safety to me, I can reason and mitigate risk all on my own. I do not believe seatbelt laws should exist. Propagating stupidity genes should be against the law. I ride motorcycles and Iowa does not have helmet laws, yet I religiously wear mine.
Polio was a devastating virus in the early 20th century, but they never shut down the country because of it and we survived. It wasn't until the 70s that world wide prevention became a thing.
Removing lead from paint is different altogether, that is a common sense regulation in the consumer protection realm. It did not require that we sacrifice any liberties. I never had to stay at home because lead was taken out of paint. I didn't have to remove any lead paint that I may have had in my house when the regulation went into effect.
No shoes, no shirt no service is an example of liberty. It allows a business owner to refuse service to the public which is not adhering to their dress code. No one has the liberty to infringe on other's liberty.
Regulations that prohibit excessive pollution, as long as based in science, are not sacrificing liberty, they are ensuring it. Again, no one has the liberty to infringe on other's liberty.
Propagating stupidity genes should be against the law.
I took some pictures of my rooster the other day. Guess who came to mind while I was taking those pictures....Note: Anyone who doesn't take me seriously, won't be living on my land, (virus or not!)
My animals, and neighbors, take me very seriously.![]()
