That may be "normal" for ferals. Many feral animals revert to the wild traits of their ancestors - the way truly feral (not strays, like we have in the US) dogs no longer have puppies all year, but only in the Spring/Summer months, like the wolves before them. I wonder if your polish hen's body clock follows that of the wild chickens she's descended from...
Nature is truly a wonder!
That would be nice. I’ve only had 6 chicks from her this year. The rest of the eggs are not fertile whenever I check.

Every guy I ever dated was my friend before we started going out... I was friends with my hubby for 2 or 3 years before we started dating. No one was surprised once we finally went out, everyone said they could see it coming.
We were friends for about the same amount of time. I was friends with his brother for 10 years so I knew their family quite well.

Okay - another reality check for my family. My 19 y/o nephew was pulled over, yesterday. He was driving in an affluent neighborhood, minding his own business and heading home, when he was stopped ... for a broken tail-light. As it turns out, the tail-light was not broken at all. What was broken was society as a whole.

Did I mention that my wonderful BIL is black? So is my gorgeous, accomplished, well-educated, full-football-scholarship nephew. As it turns out, there is some "unrest" in our quiet area, these days, and he didn't "fit" the neighborhood. Really? He LIVES there! Luckily, DN was his usual calm, courteous self and the officers chose not to escalate. How in the world, in this so-called "modern" day and age, can I use "Lucky' to describe the encounter ... and yet it's the word that fits best.

DN went straight home afterwards and pretty much got sick. My sister is LIVID ... and terrified for her husband and children. I am all three at once. I am just one person with just one voice, so I have to make mine count. PLEASE make yours count, too. Educate people about this.

You guys .it was negative...and I'm out of isolation. Sorry I didn't come back sooner.. It took 4 days for the result. I'm feet better now too. I did get more sick after the test..so have been taking it easy. Thursday I felt pretty good. Guess I just had another flu bug. No one else in the house got it! My kids think I was over stressed after having gone 5 weeks taking care of my sister on hospice in our home, then having her pass, and getting funeral arrangements and all. Yes, have to admit..that was stressful. I sure miss her. I was guardian of her for 14 years. She was almost like one of my own kids..she was my youngest sister. Mentally handicapped, sweetest little soul. Like I said before though, sure glad I got her out of the nursing home. I wouldn't have been able to be there for her. Thank you so much for the prayers. I'm serious when I say, I was thinking, I bet I'm getting a lot of prayers and thoughts regarding this illness. Sure love you guys. Best post this on the other sites I put it. If I miss one and someone asks..please let them know. 😊

So happy to hear, thanks for the update! Yes, you were definitely in prayer! Condolences on the loss of your sister. ❤

Until a very few years ago, I thought that 'things' were better, certainly better that the mid-century that I can remember. It's been horrifying to learn that
'Driving While Black', and so on. are still so awful!
I'm so sorry this happened to him, and can only hope that something good will come out of current events. :hugs

I have family who are sheriff’s. While some officers can be horrible, they are not all horrible.

I am not liking being in the middle of both sides. I know many officers and I know many African Americans.

Theres always going to be bad people whether they’re an officer or any person. Not all officers are out to harm people. Many take their jobs seriously and protect their citizens no matter their color. Once we stop seeing color and see HUMANS things will change. We are judgmental and if we stopped and just treated everyone the same no matter their color or profession, we will see a change

Spread love not hate.

If this thread becomes a place of police bashing I will have to remove myself. I have respect for the uniform and I have respect for all humans.

You know I had to remove myself from Facebook because people were threatening my families life because they got DUI’s from my relatives. Also they got arrested with possession of drugs. Their families would send me hate mail daily saying nasty things.

I have to live with this daily.

I hope no one took that as police bashing! I have officers in the family, as well. The fault here was not the officers, who handled it well, but the person or persons who reported the "unusual" young man "driving around the neighborhood!"

EDIT to remove duplicate pictures ... even though the message is important enough that saying it twice was just FINE by me!!

It’s hard living in a family who has officers especially in a time like this.

I just didn’t want people getting carried away with things because you know how it gets I’m sure.
